I would say the vs2 unless u are playing in a tourny that allows the rockin trigger frame.

All of my friennds say that the vs2 and vs3 arent tournament grade... I jsut bought a brand new 2006 Spyder Electra with eye. And they keep knocking me, they keep saying that i shouldve got a tournament grade gun. Here is a list of my friends guns, one friend has a bob long intimidator ripper, and my other friend has a dm4, another frined has a bush master... Does the VS2 and VS3 hold up to these guns? ANy help, please?

Wow they have nice markers...So what? Anything can be used in a tournament and do good. Knock on them by saying you dont have your parents pay for your stuff.

Spyders aren't usually considered "tourny grade." But, it really doesn't matter. As long as you know how to use it, go show them up. Who cares what they think. If by 'tourny grade' they mean high end, you are going to have to spend anywhere from $400-1300 for a marker. If you are willing to shell out the cash, I would recommend getting a used intimidator, you can find them anywhere from $300-500.

It'd be silly to buy such a fancy gun so soon into your time playing PB. Make sure you really like the sport before dropping $800+ on high end equipment, and a high end marker. I'd stick with the electra for now, and later you can always upgrade to a higher end gun, especially when you know more about the sport.

I wouldn't worry about using a vs2 in a tourney.
I used my pilot in a tourney and had people with timmys, dms, pms and shockers wanting to know what I was shooting. They couldn't believe a spyder could throw ropes like that. There is a thread in the kingman forum about bad company...they are kingman's sponsored team. They recently scrimmaged Infamous and apparently Infamous was impressed with the speed of the vs series...and they are supposedly close to stock with the stock board. Save money...get a VS...Work on your skills then consider upgrading. Upgrade when your skills outgrow your marker. Its not worth growing into a marker because when you finally grow into a "high end", Its now an old marker! This year we'll see how the VS's do in real tourneys.
