Default My pics from Stalingrad 07

Dudes, it was AAAWWWESOMMMMMME!!! I didn't get many because obviously, I was playing...but there's enough that I'll just put up the links because for some forums, there's a pic limit.
I didn't have enough time to get the Cocker running right so I decided to play pump so I took the Traccer or for a spin. It performed almost flawlessly the entire day...due to the cold, the paint would barrel break every once in a while but all in all, it was a great day.
Our team's assignment was mixed with Team Ragnarock. Yoda is a completely awesome dude! I also got to meet several forumers from SpecOps and MilSimOg. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with RougeShooter (SpecOps) for a bit...Sir, it was a pleasure talking with you. I may take your advice on MilSim markers ...wife's gonna kill me though...lmao

Pics...(and yes Hacker...it's still my crappy camera)

Skirmish has roaming photographers on the field all day long. The one got a great pic of me:

I have no idea the outcome, I didn't stay for the party afterwards. Skirmish will post totals on the website fairly soon though.

Very cool, kudos to you for facing the cold with a kilt; you have big kahunas, or did-lol!

Last I heard that pre-registered was around 1400 but I'm not entirely positive on that. Figure at least 500 walk-ons in addition though...

LOL...Thanks...'they' are still there and heh...you get used to it (the cold). Personally, I didn't think it was that bad...although others were whining about it.

lol...I normally get more but the firefights were so intense at times, it was difficult to snap more off without getting creamed in the process.

Oh...and the Germans won the game (out side!)...MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That's awesome....

My arms and shoulders are STILL killing me ...I shot 1.25 cases with my Traccer...2,250 shots with a pump in 7 hours...guess what I'm NOT using as my primary at Normandy?!?!? LOL.......

Trying to get both .

What digital camera (under $200) do you suggest? I'd like one with a lot of storage for pics (around 200-300 pics or so) that I can d/l to the pc. I'll take that info in a PM...Thanks.

...and it was. Normandy is July 13-15 weekend. I'll be there too and my oldest daughter wants to go as a "camera(wo)man"...

I hate you Pual. LOL.

Get a Nikon Coolpix or something, you'll also want to get plenty of batteries. The thing is, you shouldn't worry about how much the camera can hold, but how much the memory card can hold. I think they came out with a 4GB SD card, but you can easily get more than 200 pictures off a 1GB SD card. And thats the highest quality and largest size. Medium size/Fine quality (fine, I mean highest quality) you'll probably get over 500 pictures.

thanks leed.
Aside from that, I have to figure out a way to make my gas mask ballistically sound...as in...figure out a way to wear my gas mask and alter a mask to fit over the top. As you can see from the pics, the smoke used at Stalingrad was so thick, at times I had to sit down and cover my head with a towel just so I could breathe.
I think the hardest part is going to be the goggle section. It's the preformed part that really can't be altered, unlike the faceplates which can be chopped to my desire. Getting that to fit over the mask's eyepiece is going to be a problem...
And those paper "dust masks" don't work for crap either...
The other issue is that I'd only need it when there's smoke used...I I need to be able to remove the thing, while keeping my mask on.....

What about putting together your own gas mask that fits over the goggles completely. Take something like heavy waxed canvas or something, attach the mounting for the filter to that, then have velcro fasteners around the eyepieces. all you'd have to do when you need it is whip it out, throw it over your head and slap your hand on the goggles to seal the velcro. It wouldn't be airtight, but might help some.
