It was last year, and if memory serves me correctly; there wasn't any where to tap or do anything with it. I do remember we tossed it and took apart a different make tank/valve and there was something there to work with.

I mentioned a tap because that's exactly what I did to the large valve on my 20lb fill tank for the siphon. I just tapped the hole in the valve then put threads on the copper siphon tube then screwed them together using some red Loctite -
