Old or new Green Day?

which one do you guys personally like better, the pre-American Idiot Green Day or the American Idiot Green Day? i'll post my thoughts later because i dont want to sway any votes...

i loved dookie, but ever since they got political with minority i havnt liked them.

Me I like both the same, their pre Minority stuff is great and they've grown with the times and have kept the same base that was listening to them years ago and picking up new fans now...

the new stuff is alot edgier, i like the sound of some of their songs more now, but overall, old is better

im with most of you guys, i like their old stuff more. it sounds better (not that their new stuff doesnt sound good... i especially love Jesus of Suburbia, We are the Waiting, and Homecoming) but the new stuff is a little too political. why cant we go back to the good old days when music was about having fun, and not getting your political point across?

I dont honeslty care what they are singing about, I just listen to the music. Its their problem not mine. Going by that, I still like the old stuff better.
