I have never tried a 12 inch but I do have a 14 inch j&j and I would not trade it for the world. But I don't think there is a difference. I hope this helps.

I got a 16 inch linear , only thing that affects accuracy is range(which is normal, not lower range than normal), no spinning or twisting much. My 12 inch stock kind twists and spins out though. i use the 12 for speedball
