Default Would this be possible?

Hey,
I have a spyder xtra with a camed 2 frame right now that chopps like crazy and was wondering about a bolt mod. My friend said he would sell me his pilot acs bolt when he gets eyes for 15$.... I was wondering if i could do a mod to make that bolt fit in my extra. I noticed on the bolt in the xtra that the peice that sticks out that u pull back is screwed into the bolt. Would i be able to screw that peice into the acs bolt....If necessary i will i guess cut out the top of my spyder but thats if i cant find a deal on a rear cocking acs bolt and my friends is cheaper.
thankks

I tried this once and no the threads are different sizes. you will need to make a custom cocking rod. i made on and it worksbut it is heavy and looks like crap. your xtra also need to be the new one with ball style detents.

Rather than going for an ACS bolt (which does not prevent all chops) Try switching your hopper. The Quantum's rattail doesn't feed very well. Go for a faster electronic hopper and your problems should go away. Maybe try your Reloader on the Xtra.

Go for something that can feed a lot faster. An Evolution AKA Eggy, or a Halo TSA, Halo B, Reloader B .. ect.

To answer your question...no, you cannot attach the Xtras rear cocking rod to the end of a top cocking ACS...
The ACS will help indeed, but you definately need a hopper. At least an Eggy...a gravity feed hopper would do better than your Quantum....
With a Pilot ACS and the cocking rod, you could mod the body on the Xtra for top cocking, but you will probably find it cheaper in the end to get the rear cocking version. Our rear cocking Flash chopped even with an Eggy when firing as fast as my son can, but Eggy + rear cocking ACS completly eliminated all chops!
Good luck and welcome to the KUSA/SOC Forum!

well, you could do what i did XP. i took the top cocking acs bolt, and i took out that screw in the back, and put in a threaded steel rod, it threaded in ok, but not perfectly (took vice grips and screwed it in nice and tight with red loctite) then, for the knob, i used rubber bands, since they feel real nice. actually, i still have it, i just don't use it
