I dunno if its true or not, but I would have expected the progressive to do better than the linear just because of the porting. If you do get a progressive, make sure that its the 06-07 model. Its supposedly teflon impregnated- like the J&J ceramic. That was the main issue I had with my Teardrop, while breaks were rare, you couldn't ever hope to shoot through them, hopefully they fixed that with the new progressive.
