Can i use a regular 9 volt battery for my spyder imagine 04 or do i ahve to ahve a 9.6 volt battery.

you have to use a 9.6 the 9 isn't enough power

are u sure because my friend said he uses 9 volts all the time and they work fine.

Yes, the 9V just doesn't have enough power to operate the solenoid, which I believe uses about 9.2V to work.

Red is right. I've tried almost every regular 9v, rechargeable or not and none of them worked for more than maybe 10-20 shots. You have to get a 9.6v.

I have a friend who uses a regular 9v on his imagine, but he needs to change it for a new one every 300 or so shots. He is going to buy a new 9.6v before we play next.
do the math: Shooting one case of paint (2000 rounds) 9v's@3$/each = $19.80 9.6v @14$/each = 14$ Plus you can use it for 1000 more charges HacKeR
