i just got my nitro tank and i looked at the pamphlet and it said to grease the threads and o ring.can i use vaseline or paintball gun oil?

Its not entirely necessary to lube the o-ring or the threads. to be safe i'd oil the o-ring every once in a while with a drop or two of PB gun oil.

dont use vasoline
get pb gun oil, itslike a few dollars usually, and it will last you awhile

Which tank manufacture did you get? It's a good idea, but not necessary at all. Do not use vaseline in a paintball marker. It's just a bad idea. Not a good lubricant at all. Paintball oil, DOW33, and DOW55 would be the only things I'd consider putting in a marker as a lube, and each in their proper application.
