Assault block threads stripped

Ok the threads in the assault block have had it, completely stripped. Anyone have any suggestions besides throwing the damn thing?

Drill and retap it to a size larger screw. Don't drill it any deeper just widen it to whatever the next size up is. You'll need a bottom tap for that hole. As far as the screw goes, you'll need to modify it shorter or you can put a washer on the screw to releive the wiggle -

try taking it to a machine shop they normaly will do it at a minimal cost if it is just 1 screw.

OK next question, anyone happen to know the size that I need to drill out to and what tap to get?

Well what I usually do is find the screw that you want to use, first, then match it up with the tap make sure it fits by tapping something non-important, and seeing if the screw works in it.

The size of the drill hole is usually printed on the tap, or in the box with the tap.
