Default I fixed the popcorn effect

I finally fixed the popcorn effect on my MR2. (Excess air that escapes up the feedneck)

Here's how I did it...

1. I added an O-ring to the ACS Bolt

2. I found a spring from my old Brass Eagle Raptor that fit perfectly on the cupseal and bossarm. It was lighter than the stock valve spring and I clipped it a little to add more dwell.

3. Regulator
-Palmers Stabilizer
-Bob Long Torpedo

Both worked quite well

*with Co2 I was able to get 300 fps at 425 psi--not bad for almost stock parts

I made a short clip to demonstrate the reduced blowback

Hey, that's pretty cool. I was wondering too if I could custom mill the 2 grooves on the stock ACS bolt for an O ring too - but then got lazy and ended up buying one from Alamocity.

I only have it under the handgrip with a remote line attached.

I believe its been done, though it would probably take some work.

The only other time I heard of someone putting o-rings on thier acs the increased drag from the o-rings caused the ACS to malfunction, I think he put two on though. Good to know it works for you!

Both the Stabilizer and the Torpedo fit under the handgrip. Although, I had to tighten the 90* elbow and the pressure gauge a little more than normal to keep them from bumping the bottom of the handgrip.

Yes it did take some work and its definately not perfect. I actually used a hack saw to cut and widen the groove. I was careful to not cut too deep, but deep enough to minimize friction.

I've shot roughly 800 rounds through with only one break. In addition, I've dry fired through about 1500 cycles with no wear on the detent.
