You can't... QEV's are for electro-pnuematics and rams only.

The Cyclone feed is driven by a type of ram, as I recall. Any time there would be an "air cushion" forming is mostly when they are used, namely in a ram, when the air is still there from the last cycle and the other part has to work harder to exhaust that excess air.
