Default Casino Royale

So I saw
Casino
---- Royale
------ 7'''
today, and I was very disappointed.

It was 2 hours and 30 minutes long, which I guess makes it more worth my money, but it lacked the classic Bond theme.

First of all, the whole beginning wasn't very Bond-ish. To me, James Bond is supposed to be a spy, but in the beginning, he seems to be unnecessarily reckless and not very smooth like.
Second, where is all the technology? What happened to Q? No cool gadgets or anything at all, which was a very large disappointment to me.
Third, Moneypenny? There is always a Moneypenny in Bond. I guess the scene between the introduction of Vesper and Bond kind of hints towards her being Moneypenny, especially in one of the things he says, which I can't remember.
Fourth, I didn't think the Plot was very Bond-ish, again, it was kind of lame, and didn't have much action to the idea. The whole poker thing is an okay idea, but it's too easy to figure out what is going to happen.
Fifth, CARS?! There was a DBS and a DB5, but thats it. No cool gadgets in either, and no cool car scenes. I was very very disappointed in this.

There was more I didn't like about the movie, but oh well.

Only thing is, a lot of this is because the novel was written that way..

Anyways, to those of you have seen it, what did you think?

Its supposed to be the beginning bond, before he officially became 007, and got his liscence to kill or w.e. this is why there is no gadgets or familliar people.

That is quite correct. The James Bond saga highly reminds me of Star Wars in that sense. Noone should see this movie without understanding that. To cut down to the nitty gritty, I give this film an 8/10 because it was good, but could be better. If you don't think it's Bondish, then you truly are mistaken in your comprehension of these films.

Yeah. I heard that it was the best Bond movie yet. I guess if you didn't think so, either you didn't understand it, or it just wasn't your cup of tea..

i dont relaly like bond movies, but this one was alot better in my opinion. Kind of dumb but cool ending how it all came together with that last message (wont spoil), but whatever.

I saw it the other night too and everyone was saying that it was good and you should see it but my impression was that the directors made a 2 and half hour fight seen then right before the movie came out, they were like oh **** we need a plot. So I would say save your money and two and half hours of your life and not see it.
