Well, are you talking about the 06 with eyes? Or the ACS? The one with eyes is better then the Pilot because it has eyes, and a decent regulator, rocking trigger aside.
But in the end, all Spyders are the same, its just the features and price that are different. But the VS series is just about completely different...

... of course there is the regulator and eyes... but about the only real difference between the pilot and the electra is the trigger. ..Although if you really wanted to, you could add these items to your pilot...
if you're looking to try something new and like the idea of the rocking trigger, check out the 06 electra or vs3. Personally, I have an 05 electra acs and I love it, but I do think it would be better with eyes. I can't lie though... I also have a VS3 and love it as well.
