Try to get paintball oil if you can, but if you must, 3-in-1 oil works pretty well. Don't use somthing like WD-40 though.

Do not use motor oil. See if you have 3 in 1 oil in your house. Usually familys have this oil as a houshold lubricant for oiling scissors or door hinges. It is the only thing houshold that I would recommend applying to a paintball gun.
