Donating a Website Template

Well i've been working on a paintball website template for an informational site. i'm thinking about donating it to Otter since he's nice enough to help us all out. well let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. i'll add some flash when i'm done with the layout. try not to flame to hard lol

not that i have anything against them, its just thats what it looks like to me

what did you use to create that, i noticed its open in photoshop, which i dont see as being a good webdesign tool except for single images.

i wouldnt reccomend putting corporate logos unless they are paying for ads. maybe placeholders for ads.

i dont like the numbers on the nav bar. also think a top isolated nav bar makes things difficult without page anchors.

also just to get a feel for what functionality this template has... what expirience in webdesign do you have?

pros:
*gives otter something nice
*looks nice
*gives him more freedom
cons:
*looks like hes sponsored by someone with all the gear advertisments
*video on open page means more bandwidth used which means slower loading/more server usage

id just make a simpler template, not so fancy, and def no video

I think he was just showing the capabilities of his template, the ads and stuff would probobly be taken out when he gives it to otter

sorry about that, been busy with the wife this weekend. Thank you for all your comments, and i will definetly take a look into some of you suggestions . I do this in my spare time at work, when i have nothing to do so its a work in progess. hopefully we'll have the final draft by the end of this week.

to answer some of your questions,

all the ads can be replaced with different ads. it's not dedicated to a single company. i just took differnt ads and placed them there so it can grab your attention which i think it did lol

otter said, "hehe, looks good. but when do i have events, a forumm and a gallery. " this is all optional stuff with is all controlled with a backend CMS system. Events, can be for users or urself to post up big game dates, new marker release dates, etc. Forum, thats optional but it takes a sec to learn and manage. gallery, simple prog that you upload pix to a folder on your server, and it automagically creates the album, thumbnails, ect.

claustrophobia9, photoshop is what i always use for the template of a site. most designers use this to design their site. then imageready to slice up the images, and dreamweaver for all the coding. as for experinece, i do this in my spare time when i can. I'm not a web designer, this is just a hobby that i like doing on occation. i've done a couple of other sites in the past but this is my most recent one from 6 months ago: http://wolfpakrydersmc.com/.
