Help me with my Spanish report

Ok for spanish class i need to have an essay on how America was organized.
Its not due untill monday (4 days), but ive been looking up information and i cant find it

All i know is

Columbus Discovered it
Jefferson did the Louisianna Purchase
The Alamo
and the signing of the decleration of independence

Now if you can help me by giving me Dates, and little summaries of historical happenings ill be so damn greatfull.

I know your a teacher vike, so help the next generation!

i love how you live in idaho and you know about the alamo. thats freaking sweet. is idahoan history not cool enough? and what do kids in alaska learn about for state history? types of igloos? but anyway

what does the formation of america have to do with spanish class? unless you mean like the americas as a whole...

uh regarding to your first sentence, i came from California so i know partially about the Alamo, and how we kicked got the **** kicked out of us by the Mexicans, but we then kicked the **** out of them and got:
California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas


I don't know for my Spanish language class we're learning about lain America.
But my teacher said how the US came together. So ill just get that done.

The Alamo -------------------> March 6th 1836 i think
Declaration of Indepenance --> July 4th 1776
Cristopher Columbus---------> Not Sure in the 1400's i know though maybe august 24 1457
