I've read in a couple of threads of rocking triggers being illegal or banned at some tourney & fields. any particular reason why this is?

I have never seen a field that would not allow the Rocking frame.....
I have been to a few tournies where there were questions about it because it is actually two trigger contacts in one frame, however I have never actually seen it banned..

It's been banned by a couple tournaments I played in. The reasoning was based on the two swiches, I believe...Not 100% sure on the "real" reasons though. Just make sure to check your tournament rules before you play!

I've seen it banned at one place, just get a non rocking trigger, imo it's better any ways.

I think alot of people here are not 100% sure if its legal or not, you have to go to a tourney and see for yerself. |

I really dont see why it could be illegal
even if the reasoning is that the trigger frame has 2 contact points! just think about what you doing to the trigger first, you are pulling on it with one finger at a time. so if you were to pull a single contact trigger with your index and then middle finger it would fire two shots. well if you had a rocking trigger frame with one contact point under each finger and you were to pull on the trigger with your index finger and then middle finger it would fire two shots. so my question is why does it matter how many contact points to tell the gun to fire? it seems to me that both players still have the same advantage and the rocking tigger is only marketing by kingman to try and get you to buy their guns. |

Ok, for one last time, and since this thread was brought back from the dead - I'VE PLAYED IN AT LEAST TWO TOURNAMENTS WHERE IT WAS ILLEGAL!!!! Doesn't matter their reasoning, you used a rocking trigger, you were disqualified. PERIOD. Guys, the only way to find out for sure is to check your tournament rules. It will say there for sure. All I can say is what I know from experience. /thread, because checking tournament rules for any particular tournament is the only way to know for sure.

the only way to be 100% legal is to check YOUR TOURNAMENTS RULES. I know around here the rule says you can only have one switch on a gun. If you read the rule and are still uncertain ask the person running the tournament for an answer regarding it.
