Edit new pics
I did some home mods to my VA and Valve for my Lp project. When I screw in the lpc I can see the oring on the edge of the smaller hole so I put teflon tape a it doesnt leak(I dont know if it leaked in the first place, I put the teflon tape as a percaution). My advice if you try what I did dont even drill past the bump in the center. ![]() ![]() On the Va I still need to smooth it out and clean it up. I cant find my files so for now it looks like crap. before when I first drilled I could not get the psi low enough without burping every 2 or 3 shots even when the pressure was turned all the way up for some reason. Now that I drilled bigger I can turn it really low(I dont know how low beacause I have no gauge but only 2 full turns out from o psi). I still need to chrono it but it works perfect now. ![]() ![]() Also I already knew if I drilled too big on part that goes to the valve that it would leak from the screw that holds the VA so I put teflon tape on the screw and it doesnt leak. Also for the same part drill in the center and leave space around the rim so the spring can hold because if you drill too big the spring wont hold and you will have a ruined VA. Well Dragon, some people do get excellent results with the home mods, but not everyone.. I didn't...

yeah I know I can get a better result but if I can get it perfect without buying one then why waste the money. Im going to buy a new valve but dont feel like it right now because I'd rather spend the money on paint.

Sry, you're not going to get any sort of excellent results from a/this home modded valve. I'm all for the home mods except the valve. You'll get a much better result from a professionally milled high flowing valve. You could not even get a small portion of the flow from this valve as say the Rocket or ND high flowing valves. Scrimp anywhere else but the reg and valve. If you want a half a**ed result, do the home mod valve thingy. JMNSHO -

It allows for better airflow which is necissary for LP. www.ottersccustoms.com
