birthday aggness

ok so i picked up a few things for my birthday (the 23rd) off of marvs intarwebz.
unfortunately marv hired some noobs to deliver economy (2 weeks wtf) so i got my package... like actually near my birthday.


anyways there it is. i pretty much have a whole new mask, save the lense and mounting screws.

you are seeing a black 06 frame, saints LE strap, silver "grill", and custom softears.

i purchased some things from taylor's wonderful site and they should arrive soon, but i just couldnt wait so i made some of my own (not as high of quality of what i am getting, but very cool)

1/1 SUEDE ears. thats right, thats real grey suede over black stickyback EVA foam (what taylor uses)


i sprayed it with some scotchgaurd, i dont know it it will keep them safe but it doenst bother me a ton since it was like a 2.99 swatch of suede and my new ears are uber LE... (that was your hint)

i reccommended the suede ears idea to taylor, hopefully you guys will see them for sale soon (from him). aslo i needed to add a vote because im torn here:


the product arriving from taylor is a pair of "LE" (you never know with jt) white JT precut pro soft ears with a laminant to keep them clean.

i need to know if you think i should buy a can of white plastidip and spray the bottom of the "grill"

the possible combos are:

black grill, suede ears (batch 2... the first ones are kinda sloppy... i couldnt find my good exacto blades)

white grill, suede ears

black grill, precut white ears

white grill, precut white ears


edit: keep in mind my decision is not set in stone, because i will keep the white or suede ears on A mask, just not neccisarily this mask. also the plastidip takes some time to remove but i could do it...

the ears i have are garb, i need to re make them with this other suede swatch i bought. all i could find was like this rusty curved blade for my exacto, no sharp pointy ones, so it freyed funny. also i designed them off of the large soft ears so they are a little goofy of a shape.

ok well im super tired, but i only got one new ear done, let me tell you, its alot better, with an extra special bonus to it (that made it take twice as long...)

ok i got some brighter pics with my new v2 suede ears.




bam! look at that, its 3 layered! the black cutouts let the white show through. (dont argue with the design of the cutouts i was just trying stuff out)


a better pic of it, yes my second ear is a little worse than my first one (1 is close, 2 is far)

notice: these are not www.softearmods.com ears. i made these myself, taylors cuts are MUCH better than the ones shown here, i simply did them myself for fun, and to test the suede to see if it was worth taylor's time, your input is appreciated.
