Not sure about the superman slide but as for the bunker it depends. If somebody has an angle on you that they can get you if you're back away then you stay close. If they don't then you can back off it a little.

Hit the ground with your body first. That should absorb some of the shock, but eh, who cares? Your marker is a tool: it'll get banged up some.

Most deff Hob..... Ever tried to make a move from the 30 to the 50 while catching fire from 2 of the other team back men.... Or moving from your primary bunker into the snake.... It is a vital part of a Mid or Front mans playing style.

What these other poster are neglecting to tell you is that when you superman..... Make sure your head is looking foward and palms are facing the sky... This way you are not landing blindly and your barrel doesnt burrow into the dirt stoping you half way to your bunker LOL....

I did a superman once and puked into my mask when my "boys" bounced off a small rise in the groung.
From that point forward, I do a one-armed superman and take the impact more on the hip than the total front of me....slide on the non-gun side.

Heres an article from splat magazines "how-to" section on there website. Theres 12 tips in this article. But go down to number 10 and it has tips on how to do a superman dive.

oh man, thats gatta hurt. one of my friends (one of the dumb ones) tried doing a superman dive into a wooded bunker (we were playing woodsball) and slid too far in and a stick jammed into the top of his head and ripped a good 4 inches of scalp and hair off.
