Default Rocking Trigger Batteries

How long does the rechargable battery last after I charge it about 7 or 8 hours? and can I use just a normal Duracell 9v battery on my rocking trigger instead of the rechargable one?

A regular 9v won't work very well.....
The 9.6v, fully charged, should last all day and then some...
