I ordered my first upgrade the other day, a new QEV. I know, it's nothing big, but everyone told me its the first thing I should get. I'm trying to track down a VP scythe trigger. let's just say thats proving to be difficult. After that, I think I'm going with a lucky 1-2-3 kit.

Good job on the QEV... IMO it should be the first upgrade on any Ion.

Well my QEV came in today. Lets just say it was a very unpleasant experience for my first time taking apart my ion. while installing the QEV, I lubed up the bolt, and replaced the seal backwards, so gas leaked, and none of the screws lined up properly with the trigger frame. After about an hour of almost peeing my pants because I thought I broke my 2 week old gun, I got it all figured out, and now it works perfectly

Glad everything is working out with you. We learn from our mistakes and now you can problem tear apart that gun and put it back together in no time. Its part of paintball, we've all done it.

Yeah, it's always tough that first time taking something apart, but now I have to say I know that gun pretty damn well now. I forgot to mention, I accidently tore out a wire for the eyes. Bah, oh well, when I order my lucky stage kit soon, I'll just add those to the order.

Question about that circle metal part holding the donut onto the firing chamber... do I need some special tool to get that off? I didn't play with it much, but it seems like it would be pretty difficult to get off.
