Ion or Used Impulse

So I have been considering to upgrade my gun to an ion, but recently i noticed on ebay the selling of used impulses for the same price as a new ion but with upgrades. I asked the owner of my local shop what the difference between the ion and impulse was an he said that mainly it was just that ions uses cables throughout the gun to carry the air and an impulse just uses its metals casings/body. so should i get a stock ion new or a used impulse with some upgradees.

My friend has an impulse(the gun is 10yrs old), he has never had the gun completly break on him, but the feedneck is a big weakness.

I would get the ion cause its newer and has alot of upgrades. The impulse is just as good if not better but the resale is terrible so if you buy one dont expect to sell it later and get alot for it, and you'll probably end up keeping it. my friend bought a impulse for $200 and spent $300 for upgrades and no one wants it for more than $250.

i dont know never really gave impulses much thought.
cause i not judont like the whole looks of PAINTBALL MARKER, i like a marker with a little detail, not just cylinder on a cylinder on a frame

but its entirely up to you
i would go to a field and ask to shoot a ion and then an impulse and buy whichever one you like

Impulse = ugliest gun ever. I know thats not a good basis for a purchase decision, but I would rather get the Ion and upgrade it.

besides the uglinessometer, which gun has better performance, lets say at a stock level

Get the ion...you will be happier when the upgrade bug gets you in about 2 months. Plus then when you want to get another gun you will have more people to sell it to.
