Anyone else using Loctite 545 High pressure thread sealer for their markers fittings?
I love that it is liquid so it gets into the nooks and cranny's of the threads and that there is no tape to mess with or to get into the air line. HacKeR

I just use the blue loctite! Seem's to do well.
The red loctite don't you have to heat up in order for it to come loose? JB. |

different product...
Loctite 545 is not a thread locker, but a thread sealer. It does the same thing as Teflon tape, but neater and a better seal. Loctite Blue and Red Thread locker are to keep screws from coming out. And yes red does require a small amount of heat to free it up. HacKeR

Oh ok. I still use the blue.
I hate teflon and only use it when I work on other people's gun's that "they want me to work on" JB. |

are you talking about green loctite? that is what most people use in place of teflon. i prefer blue because it cleans off with rubbing alcohol

No not green... Look at the link in the first post. It is Loctite 545 Thread sealer. Its purpose is to seal the threads not lock them like green/purple/blue/red.

That's cool, didn't know Loctite made thread sealer, I always just use teflon tape.

yes, very expensive. The 50ml bottle is around 35 bucks, but it will last you for years. The first bottle I had lasted about 6 years.
