49 in a 35. Douchemuffin pulled me and didn't have the common decency to give me a warning even though a.) it was a speed trap that they had just converted from 45 to 35 and b.) I've never had a ticket ever before.

Think of it this way... If you did one faster here in California, you could also be charged with speed challenge or some **** like that, equivocal to street racing....

I hope the fine isn't too bad, but the cop's got you good on that charge. Not even radar tolerances (+\-5 here) will get you off the hook.

Whats the limit for reckless there? 10 or 15 over?

Here they can charge you with reckless at any speed so long as they feel like it and you swerved at all as if you were going around a pot hole. Normally cops are lax on that, but I have seen it before. I forget when they tack it on with speeding though.
