Is Smaller Better

Im 5'2" yes very small for a 16 year old guy but w/e. I keep hearing smaller is better in paintball. Whar do you think?

if yer built like doug (95 lbs with a brick in each pocket)...bomberpilot07..then I'd say yes because it's like shooting at a coffee stirrer

It depends. I'm 6'1", 190lbs, and I'm a little before my 17th birthday now. So, I can't shrink any, but I agree that a smaller marker is better so long as it does not sacrifice it's integrity.

Im talking body size. People tell me its good because you can fit behind bunkers better and its easier to lose track of a smaller person. Seems sensible to me.

ok theres this kid we call shooter at my field hes like 10 years old, probably 4' 9" or shorter. hes amazing, he has great form because hes watch all of us play and he can play every bunker standing up. hes fast and smart and thats what makes him good. so i say ya body size can help you a lot.

i really dont see a problem with size, its all about how u play

im 6 5, and i have to play back because of my size, but really, i have gone in the snake and all the good stuff like that, and still havent got shot out...

I get out all the time when playing at the cans because my fat ass is sticking out the back of the bunker when I'm wrapping, and it's because the bunkers are too damned skinny. I can play everywhere but there, and it sucks because that's mostly what there is at my field.

LOL im 16. 5'9. 210 pounds.... I am a mid player.... so smaller doesnt always mean much.... I probibly only qualify as a mid becasue i have speed and i dont look like te average 210 pounds kid.... i look something like Fredpro (anyone who remebers him) LOL....

Smaller is better for front players and the average mids... but not always the case...

I'm gonna have to give a big no on that question. Although I'm small, 5' 5" and weigh about like your normal 40 year old - a little extra grain in the sack, you might say, some call me "stocky", I don't think size really matters. I think it's more about speed and smarts, than anything. I usually play an aggresive mid - although lately it's been more conservative, usually inserting wherever needed.

You want someone who can move around quickly, but unless the key bunker to be in is a teeny tiny brick (which they never are), then I personally believe it's not all that important to be smaller. I've seen plenty of fronts that are 6' or close to it, and some that aren't so skinny. I've seen smaller backs as well.

To put it bluntly, I like paintball because it sort of nullifies all the "need to be's". You don't need to be tall, you don't need to be short. You don't need to be young, you don't need to be old. Throw in male, female, black, white, whatever - it only matters what you can do with your gun and what you know your body can do. If you know your body can't fit behind a bunker, or it can't make the 50 off the break, you don't do it, right?

I'm 5'7" and a "stocky" 190 (lol Vike....I usually call myself fat!)
I play mid and dive on my knees alot...no bunker is too short for me but...
Last weekend I got owned by a guy 6'2" who got up the snake faster than I could get off the break!!!
Once I broke for the snake too, he was too big to hide and I was getting him pretty well...I think my size helps
