![]() hard to believe that the root of this conflict stretches back over 2000 years...
The 2 sons of Abraham. The Bible, Torah and Koran all share similar stories concerning Abraham. He's actually considered the father of al three religions. Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice what he loved most in the world, his son, and in return he was promised the holyland. The Muslims believe this son to be Ismail and the Israelites believe this son to be Isaac. Both were sons of Abraham, however they apparently had different mothers. Ismail to a "maid" and Isaac to his wife Sarah. Abraham and Sarah believed that Sarah was unable to bear children and in an effort to make sure their bloodline continued, they schemed to have their maid bear a child with Abraham and raise it as their own. This child was Ismail. Unfortunately, a short time later Sarah found herself pregnant - this child was isaac. Here the conflict begins - Which son inherits the land beseeched to Abraham: The elder, illegitiment son or the younger legitiment son. And here we are 2000+ years later...whudathunkit???

That Abraham should kept it in his pants! Hezbollah is reaping what they sowed. I get a chuckle that they were shocked by the Israeli response after they kidnap a few Israeli soldiers. Ah, yeah....hello!? ![]()

![]() They allegedly launched a precision air and artillery strike against a UN observation post. I don't really know much about it, wasn't reading the news today.

![]() I think Israel's had enough of being patient for the rest of the world (get the idea, America?) and is setting out to clean house. Personally, I don't think we NEED to get involved, because man for man, Israel has the toughest army out there right now.
I think they'll finish with Lebanon and let it rest awhile, then when someone else gets a little itchy on the missile button, they'll go in and take care of that business as well. One thing's for sure, we haven't seen the end of this problem over there. As far as the UN thing goes, they knew this was going down, Hezbollah (sp?) has been setting up camps around UN officials, as well as Red Cross areas to keep Israel from hitting them. Same as Iraq did with schools and hospitals when we first went over there. Only difference is, Israel's had enough and doesn't care about that stuff. Remember, this is a middle East thing, they don't fight like we do!

QFT..... The Israeli Army has been one not to reckon with for a very long time. Think about it... Israel is a small little country surrounded by people that don't like them... Tough is the only choice! I have a cousin in Tel Aviv and right now he said there is nothing happening there. He does not know for how much longer it will stay that way though.

![]() Hmmm, I wonder how long it will take our leaders to lealize that sending aid into a place that's already getting help from Hamas... Hmmm... My bet's on the second helicopter shot down, or the first tank blown up.
