2k5 Timmys...

Well.. I noticed that AV has them for 550... I always wanted a Timmy, But never could bring myself to get one.. Well.. During the winter, I do not play much because I HATE cold weather.. So I will have some time and money to think about what I want to do with a New marker..

How would this sound..

2k5 Timmy
Freak Kit
Kila Detents with Covers
Some sort of bolt (I was thinking the A+ Annodizing bolt)


I really don't want to spend much on a Timmy becuase I am not sure I would like how it shoots, And I don't want to put a lot of money into something that I am not so sure I would want to keep.. I figured with a Barrel, Bolt, and Detents that I pretty much hit the high lights on upgrades for a Timmy..

I saw Rams and what not.. But I don't want to spend too much on it like I said earlier..

Basically I am asking what are the essential upgrades for a Timmy besides a Barrel.. I looked around PBN and, From what I read I thought that a barrel, bolt, and detents were the essentials.. But I would like to hear some thoughts on what upgrades I should get first from people who own Timmys..
I already have a Rail and On/Off, So I don't need one of those..

Does anyone have a certain favorite on a bolt, or something that they thought was the best out of the all?? I just looked at Pbreview and the Nation and came to the conclusion that the A+ botls were pretty good..

Your gonna need a adjustable ram cap, Along with maybe a new board.

You won't need a new board, it has all you need on it. You also don't need new detents because the stock detents are fine. Just get an adjustable ram cap, the gun and a barrel. You don't need a new bolt either, the stock one is just fine.

Edit: You read way wrong if you heard that bolt and detents are essentials. That is totally untrue. I've never used anything other than stock detents and stock bolts. Infact, the only upgrades I've ever had were the ram cap, LPR and HPR. Everything else internally stayed stock.

I know.. Everyone keeps telling me I need a board.. I am like, NO I DON'T.. Semi is fine for me.. And I don't want to pay 150+ Bucks for Just a couple ramping modes..

About the detents.. I saw some stock Timmy detents and They looked WIMPY.. they are like little nipple things and they look like they SUCK.. I will trust what you are telling me though..

I think I will just buy it bone stock.. Shoot it for a day at the feild.. Then see what I think it needs..

Also, What does an Adjustable Ram Cap offer?? What does it let me do, That the stock one does not?

I figured out what Adj. Ram caps let you do on PBN.. I also found this list on Pbnation and better ball detents are third on the list..

The stock detents on timmy's aren't wimpy, that last for a while. Ego's have pretty much the same detents and they last as well.

Alright.. I guess I will Order the 2K5 Timmy, Some Tri-Flow and Dow 55 from paintballer187 on the Nation, and the Hybrid Adj. Ram cap.. Oh, And also some good paint like X-ball Silver or Gold.. ; )

Here's my list of upgrades that will make your Timmy own.

-VP Pistons in the LPR and HPR
-Hybrid Adjustable Ram Cap
-Assassins Roller Bearing Trigger - same bearings used in Technas, SUPER smooth
-Hybrid Feedneck - Clamping >>>> Twistlock

Better barrel is obvious, but thats all up to what kind of barrel you want. You put those parts on a Timmy and it will rock, gauranteed. They need nothing else. If you have a Reloader B, put it on setting 2 and you'll never push past a detent. Bob Long himself even says to do so.

Timmy detents are a timeless design if someone said you need new ones they are dumb.

The board is nearly perfect stock

the bolt I dont think they really make a better one for the timmy then the stock

replace the feedneck the hpr and lpr barrel ram cap and trigger.
