they cant do both unless they are electro mags or theres another on the top, my bet is there is still a spring.

ya i lost my spring to my B, so i need some ideas on how to keep it open cuz reloading is a pain in the ass.

This is why Egg's rock. People like me lose those damned springs, and it doesn't matter.

Claus, it has a magnet holding it open... Not electro-magnets, normal ones. They attract each other when the hopper's open fully, and when the hopper is closed they are far enough apart that they have no connection. If you still don't understand.... Hob, can you get a picture or two of how it works?

Here we go image one is of the two mags that hold it open, image two is the mags that keep it shut.





I tried to get it to close by shaking the hopper violently while it was open, but I couldn't get it to move, the mags hold well but its still easy to open and close the lid.

So it does use them to hold it open too, I'll have to stop by Radio Shack and do that mod to my Halo.

Thanks for the pictures, Hob. I'm thinking if I ever upgrade or downgrade to a hopper like a Reloader or Reloader B, I'll do this mod to it.... So simple, yet it's so worth it.

I used some bigger mags that I found at a hobby store for mine, they are still rare earth and flat but are about double the size of the Rat Shack ones, if you can find some bigger ones I would suggest it, I like mine they work great it holds the lid open real well and the ones holding it shut also hold it shut real well. Mags FTW.
