New HALO Deal/Design..

Actionvillage has Halo B's with Rip Drive and The V35 boards for only 140.. Also it seems that they have a new magnetic lid..

Has anyone ever used this Magnetic lid on any of their Halos?? How does it work? You have to look close and click the zoom button to see the Magnets, but it looks like a neat design..

Thoughts?

I think it's about time the manufactures started using magnets to close the lids. I modded my Zeggy with magnets almost as soon as I got the new shells for it (well, also was partly because I had to lol!), and I love it. Makes it so easy to close.

I think the $140 is a good price for it, especially when having all colors at that price as well. It's tempting me to get one.

Good deal right there... they are trying to compete with empire coming out with a good board already installed instead of a O.K board.

The TSA frontman/backman has magnets, and my god, it SOOOOO much easier than spring loaded lids. You flip it open and it stas open, but you can close it easily and it stays closed.

how do the mags hold up during rough dives?

Depends on how many you have. I put two on my hopper and it won't open unless I do it myself. They're on there pretty good. Hob, does it have two sets of magnets, one to hold it open and one to keep it shut?

My guess is it still uses the spring for keeping the lid open, the magnets are just to keep it shut.

the earth magnets from radioshack dont want to move at all, if you do 2-4 packs of them (there is one for the lid and one for the shell in each pack) there is no way it will move unless you make it.
