Out of the box I clocked my MR1 at 332 fps, any else had this problem? I've read on pbreview.com about the spring being a little tight when you first get your gun and a couple of people recommended a spring kit.
My only problem is that I won't get onto a field until next week and I need to know before that which way I crank my velocity adjuster to slow it down (I need to do this without firing a ball since I currently have no ammo). Thanks in advance! |

Screw it out to lower velocity. Get a spring kit when your at the field, and put in the lightest spring.

I too had the same problem. The slowest I could get it was 320fps.
I snipped the spring at the field, and then it wouldn't go faster than 150fps. Bought a Shocktech spring kit. Worked fine after that. Definitely buy your spring kit BEFORE you head to the field. I had to rent a 98C after I snipped the spring on my MR1. ![]()

Yup, that's another thing I was told, that the stock spring just needs to be worked in.
Doesn't help me when I'm sitting in the clubhouse at the field after already paying for 2000 paintballs at C$120! ![]()

I guess I'm the one guy who didn't have to run out and buy a spring kit. Mine actually started off shooting around 240fps at first, and I had to crank it up to 280fps.
Hmmm... I may still look into a spring kit though... can't hurt to have spares I guess. |

correction .... 332 FPS. Field regulations are usually 295FPS or so. I would stay at around 275 with co2, since at the end of the day you could wound up well over 300FPS.
FPS = FEET PER SECOND BTW try not to bring back older threads anymore. |
