i was having fun watching the Mexico Iran game today. the commentators were talking about players nicknames, and one guy is called "The Carpet" because he floats through the defenders like a magical carpet in mythalogical times. it gave me a good laugh.

anyway, Mexico's third goal was sweet

man we had graduation on friday, and it ended right when the game did, so there were hundreds of germans driving and walking through the city with flags and everything...it was crazy. IMO the winner this year will be either italy or brazil, most likely brazil.

There were some good games today...I didn't catch the first, but the mexico Iran game was awesome, some sweet goals there, and the Portugal game was pretty good too, I liked the header that went off the cross bar. Portugal is going far....says I.

I hardly know anything about soccer, even having two kids play it doesn't help me much, but I watched a good show on one of the sports channels about how racism is alive and strong in the ranks of the World Soccer whatsamahoozits....How even fans of a team will call their own black players monkeys and throw bananas on the field - and even worse, beating them physically! It was pretty disturbing to watch actually.

I hope that USA wins - as any good American would do, but I just can't follow it very well.

BBBLLLAAAHHH, AAARRRGGG, in the name of all things holy we couldn't get a single attack going in the first 70 min. of the game! Up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, every single friggin time and what do the czech do? They stuff it down our throats. Work the ball up the friggin sides and you produce scoring opportunities like we did in the last 10 min. US team really needs to change their tactics for the next game because man that totally suxed ass!
