World Cup 2006
Welp, it started today and honestly I forgot all about it. But it should be a great cup this year and I am going to try to follow it as closely as possible. Who else is looking forward to this and what are your feelings on it? I really think the US has a good chance to go quite a ways in the tourny which is something unheard of. Most of the world used to look forward to playing the US, but now they are one of the top contenders, so it should be a fun time watching them play.

the US isn't going anywhere, they also do good in qualifying and then they suck up the place when it comes down to it.

^^^^good one....
 I think this will be a great cup! I agree with Hoppy; I believe we have a chance to go very far, perhaps even the final....but the main contenders this year will be the usual: Germany, Brazil, England...etc. The Germany Vs Costa Rica game was quite the opener, lot's of excitement...I was rooting for Costa Rica, and it looked like they would perhaps get a tie, but Frinz's (sp) lucky shot made it impossible. They played with heart. I usualy root for the underdog, and plus I didn't like what Germany did to our team last year....  Didn't watch the Ecuador Vs Poland game, but this is a pretty big accomplishment for Ecuador....I think it's the first time they've done so well in the first game. Monday I suppose I should root for the Czechs, being that I'm half Czech, but I'm going to go with my real national team, the US...and I'm guessing the US will not crack under the strain this year....they will go far. I believe in them this year. Edit: I'm getting up in exactly five hours to watch the England Vs Paraguay game....such is my fate....
