Default Spare Parts W/ MR1

Just bought my MR1, my first paintball marker, and it has a nice little bag of spare parts...or at least I hope they are spare.

I was bright enough to figure out which screw attached the stock and I recognize the elbow. I'm also mechanically inclined enough to identify allen wrenches.

HOWEVER, the O-rings and other pieces are a mystery... Are they spare parts or do they need to be placed in the marker prior to me using it?

Please help! I can't find anything in the instructions.

Adam

I'm newish to paintball, but I'm pretty sure those 0-rings and other pieces are spare parts.

O-rings tend to break fairly often (their rubber, go figure), especially if you use C02. Depending on the gun you have, they could be for different things.

Welcome to the MR1 club. The redish o-ring is for your striker and the black is for your bolt. The MR1 shares parts interchangability with most of the Spyder line so replacement parts should you need them are easy to come by. If you keep the gun lubbed well you will not have any problem o-rings wearing out prematurely.

I read the small booklet that comes with it and came to the amateur opinion that all the stuff I have is spare parts.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to add anything to the marker before I take it out and test it.

It should be set to go. Maybe take the whole gun apart and reassemble using the exploded digram i nthe manual to make sure everythings in there, and lube it while you go if you've got oil, and make sure to keep everything clean!
