I've got a pretty new 06 Angel Speed for sale. $850. Ask chubb0rz or TheRedBarron... Angels > all.
Best shooting gun I've owned. I wouldn't sell it if I didn't need money for a down payment on a car. |

He's also got a G7, an Ion, dex's old Evo and something even sicker than those, but I dunno if he's talked about that one yet. He has quite a collection.
Anyways...he's an Angel whore now, he's on the good side. |

PM6 or Evil Minion(same gun with cosmetic changes). Both around 750 which gives you 250 left to grab some other gear or paint to practice.

I hate to just repeat what others are saying but I would definately go and get a feel for other markers.
All markers (for the most part) that cost over $500 have the same basic operation (electro pneumatic with eyes). But they will all be balanced differently, weigh different, and their triggers will have a different feel to them. For example my old angel was alittle back heavy, but the trigger was great, my friend Freestlye (2006) is very light but so much so that a large hopper made it feel top heavy, cockers are rather heavy and have a big profile (and can be complicated if your not familiar), Egos are nice, but I'm not sure they are worth the money (just a milled and lightened Impulse IMHFO), so if you want a tourney gun I would start off simple. $200-300 for a Rat Impulse, older angel, Bushy, Defiant, or what ever, get a nice barrel kit, maybe a ramping board and just have some fun. Use it to get the feel for an electro gun (how to time your shots and how to make accurate firing lanes). These markers maybe heavier, and not as "stylish" but they will still shoot 18+ BPS and will let you understand the play style of high end tourney ball before you dump enough cash to put as a down payment on a car into a paintball gun. |

At this level it's all about feel. Shocker's shoot great, but I can't stand the feel. I'm not impressed with the Ego's I've been around, but everyone I know who shoots one loves it. Hold the guns, don't buy into hype (every company does it) and do some research. I think right now, the Nerve is the best bang for the buck.
