They do somthing, but lowering input pressure would do alot more, but you need to go LP there, I think his best best would be either the quiet riot or the whisper, quieter than the SP barrels. I doubt he wants to spend 100+ on a stiffi.

hmm thats interesting. i dont want to spend that much money on a barrel because i am just beginning. i got a ricochet ak off a friend for 15 bucks, which was a good deal that i probaly wont get on a barrel. So i really dont want to be spending over 50 bucks on a barrel. It's to bad suppressors are illegal

Kid...look at Otter's site and go LP. That will quiet the marker alot and like Vike said...a highly ported barrel for it's stock condition. A "Whisper" barrel or "Quiet Riot" will be good choices until (if) you go LP.

depends how far you want to go and how mechanically inclinded you are. meaning if you can drill out your valve,V/A,grind down the valve pin, polish bolt/striker, etc you can save cash. and put it towards a better reg or something like that.

As for going LP ... the pilot has that weird VA now .... so your gonna need to get a new VA and Reg to actually go LP ... probably assault block and torp
