More wacky Spyder mods :-)

I haven't given up on my custom butt stock/e-trigger mod, however I have gotten a little side tracked. :-)

• New butt stock that fits the existing grip setup.
• New tank mount along the gun body.
• (coming soon) dual offset scope rails.

Here you can see the stupidly huge 30mm 3-12x zoom scope. -I really didn't grasp how large this scope was going to be when I ordered it...it's massive, but I like it! This is a BSA AR312X40 scope that I picked up on sale for $30. I do plan to zero it in for ~40 yards, but mostly I intend it to be a sighting scope not a target scope. I have a set of cheap haze filters on order too, more to help protect the scope from paintballs then help with haze. I'll be putting this scope to the right side of the feed tube. To the left of the feed tube will be a BSA RD30SB 30mm 1x Red Dot scope (should arive tomorrow along with my Weaver rails). It also only ran me $30.

Home built stock from left side. Not too pretty, but very functional and will look much better once painted black.

one suggestion that i would make is to angle the back end of the bottle down just a little to keep the liquid in the bottle instead of getting into the marker.

other than that, great setup.

Thats a great idea, unless your tank is antisyphoned, I would put it on an angle. It would serve as a make-shift antisyphon and would probably help balanace the marker out better. Thats some nice looking work there, it's going to look awesome when its painted.

Taping to the side of the VA would be sweet, but I don't think I could get away with it (needs at least an expansion chamber I'd assume or I'll be spitting liquid CO2 at my foes).

I'm thinking I'll run the line back down to the expansion chamber and/or get a Palmer's Stablizer. Only reason the hose isn't in the pic is because the stock tube won't reach and I can't seem to find metric hose anywhere? I'll probably have to convert to english threading. :-P

Hmm, good idea on the angle. I hate to do it though...ruin the look. Do you think an anti siphon tube like 03TiburonGT suggests would solve the problem? BTW, your anti-siphon page is missing but the Archive.org still has it thankfully (btw, love your site!).

yes, i removed that site due to possible legal issues that may come about that i don't want to get involved with. but it could work.

i was not suggesting an angle more than 10*. 5* really. and then utilize a short antisiphon.

i think a tank at an angle of more than 10 would be in the way of you holding the grip.
