I would suggest a hopper fed back bottle setup phantom for your first. I would recommend getting the 45 grip frame as oppose to the M16 frame just in case you want to upgrade to vsc with t-stock or any other configuration.
And as far as barrel's go I have no clue why anybody would want anything but the stock barrel! It is the best barrel out there for the marker imo! I use the 11" one and just slap the correct detent ring and your good to go! Then once your used to it you can meet up with some scp'ers for a southeast pump event somewhere in your part's! JB. OK I think I am going to go with the 1101-V-45-00.
Does the barrel length mean that much? Do I want the 14" or stick with the 11"? Also does the cold effect Pumps using C02? and if so can I use HPA? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get the right thing. HacKeR

K I have no idea what the 1101-v-45-00 is but if it's a phantom it's a good choice lol
Barrel length is preferance really. I use the stock 11" barrel and love it! I don't know about the cold yet. I wouldn't think so really but I would make sure that you get your tank filled the day prior to playing and not on the same day and you should be ok. Might want to get a neoprene cover for it and if it's really cold those foot warmer thingies but not really necessary. Question's are alway's welcome in the pump forum as I love seeing new post's in here! JB. |

That's pretty nice. It's got a vertical asa so you will have to invest in a 3.5 oz or 4 oz tank.
Don't forget to get a set of detent ring's also. There a lifesaver. JB. |

so the back bottle may be better for me. Less to buy, since I already have a few C02's 9 and 20.
And it is less money... The detent rings are to match paint/bore right? And if I get a loader type, how hard is it to go to the 10-15 round tube (stock class?) HacKeR

Yeah honestly I would start off with back bottle, 45 grip and either center, left or right feed. That way you don't invest so much right off the bat in pump play. You can also if you wanted turn the back bottle into a bottomline setup quite easily too. Just depending on your preference!
Yes the detent ring's are used to hold a ball in place after you have place one in the chamber. They stop the ball from rolling out of the barrel as the barrel is really like .691 bore size. There are four ring's in a set x-small, small, medium and large. Definitely a must. JB. |

Hey you might want to pick up a velocity adjuster tool also. You adjust the velocity by turning a screw on the bolt. The tool allow's you to do this without taking the barrel off. There like six buck's.

To go from a loader to a stock class feed, you need to buy these parts:
- Stock Class Breech ($28) - Horizontal Feed ($15 black, $20 clear) - Screw for Horizontal Feed ($0.25) - 10 or 15 round feed tube ($11.99 or $12.99) - Feed cap ($3.85 black, $5.99 clear) - Ball retainer ($0.50) So total would be $59.59 - $67.73 (depending on feed tube length and color) to convert it to stock class if you want to down the road. Installing the parts themselves is cake. I took those prices from Wevo http://www.wevopaintball.com/pumppaintball.html, but Otter's will be about the same.

as for barrel, either an 11 or 14 is good. 8" is for indoor play. as the above ones have said, the back bottle is what i would lean to with a 9oz tank. if you have a 4oz, then the verticle mount is great for balance. and correct with the detent rings. helps to keep the marker from double feeding. i include them free with those that purchase from me.
