help me out with my mac dev tank
okay so i got a mac dev air tank recently but i cant identify it, itsnot like a 03 or 04 one. but my biggest problem is it doesnt have aburst disk, i know where i think it goes but im not sure, theres this hole on the bottom but it has a screw in it and there like a little disk/spacer thingy in there. whats the deal? pics.

there should be 2 burst disks. 1 that goes directly to the tank and 1 to the reg. the rating on the one to the reg should be 1800psi and the one to the tank should be around 7000psi depending on the size of the tank itself. the one you show is the older style disk. they don't sell them that way any longer. the new ones as I'm sure you've seen have a hex head and the disk itself should be permanently attached. you should just take it to a pro shop and let them install the correct disks -

one problem, theres only one disk, not 2. thats bad isnt it. oh and since theres only one what pressure should i get when i get the replacment?

1 disk huh? My Crossy has 2 but it's not adjustable. There's no disk at all in there? If there was the rating would be printed on the disk itself. My guess would be the 1800 but that's all that is, is a guess. Call Mac Dev and tell them what tank you have and ask what rating disk goes in it. That's your best bet imo -

Because they do not sell the older style disks(single disk) any more unless you can find one somewhere that's been laying around in someones pro shop for years. It's like a DOT safety standard thing. They sell the new type that has the intergal disk already attached to the brass hex nut -

well the old burst disk is still in the reg, i just didnt know it was a burst disk, so why dont i just leave it in there and use it. are they still okay and not like banned.

Just go and call MacDev, and see what rating of UBD to get. Then get the darn tank hydro'd and be on your merry way!
