Question MR1 Bolt upgrades

i was wondering if bolts made for the spyder sonix or compact would fit on the MR1? not the stock ones, but something like an Orange Ultrashock 2 bolt or would an internal cocking ACS bolt work? i need answers!

The ACS bolt will not fit in the MR1 and still let you use the stock. I do not know of an aftermarket bolt that will fit/work and let you use the stock.

A lot of people don't realize that a bolt upgrade is, dollar for dollar, about the best practical upgrade you can make to any paintball gun. They are relatively cheap and have a direct effect on your maximum cyclic rate. Lots of people get super-expensive fancy board upgrades and trigger frame mods that will let them trip the sear at amazing rates of fire, but the actual internals of their gun simply can't reciprocate fast enough to achieve such blazing ROF, even if they have a super e-loader than can keep the paintballs coming fast and furious into the gun.

Alamo City Paintball makes excellent aftermarket Delrin bolts for a wide range of markers, including Spyders...

You can choose lightened bolts with O-rings or ringless in a range of colors for many different models. As of this writing, they do not have a link to the MR1 bolt up on their webpage yet, but if you send an e-mail to Max in Customer Service, he'll hook you up...

If you just can't wait, you can order the Alamo City bolt for a Diablo Mongoose, and then Dremel out a groove for the MR1 ball detent, which I did as a clutch mod for mine before I ordered the real deal from Max.

Alamo City also makes a lightened steel & Delrin striker for all Spyders and Spyder clones...
