Default j&j barrel
Is a 14" barrel a good length for the jj or should I have got a 12"?

it's all personal preference ... if you want a 12 inch, go for one, but if you want a 14 inch go for that also ... Those are usually the best sizes for them .. but IMO i like the 12" better, since it gives you more freedom
