Default Spyder Rocking Trigger Problem

I have a Spyder Xtra with a original Rocking Trigger on it. I haven't used the marker in a long time. So I got it out to see if everything still works. I charged up the trigger and went to try it out in a dry run. I took the gun, cocked the bolt and went to pull the trigger with no gas on it. Nothing happens when I pull the trigger. I can hear a clicking sound but it will not release the bolt. Then I tried the same thing with gas attached to it and the same thing. I then put the original trigger back on and everything worked fine. Could it be the battery just being old and not giving enough power or something wrong with internals on the trigger. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The battery's the likely culprit, unless the capacitor is bulging.

Do you hear it click like it wants to pull but doesnt. It could be the capacitor. If you are not hear it it could be the battery. try the 9v batter to test it out. I really do not recommend having a 9v to be used due to the capacitor start to swell up and cause an issue where you will have to replace the capacitor or get a new board all together. hope this help let me know if you need more info. I have changed out boards & capacitor.

If you didn't hear the clicking of the trigger, it could be because of the EYEs being on... if you have them.
