First attempt at plexi grips....

...I made these for Bomberpilot07...the paint's drying now...it's my first attempt at making plexiglass grips (painted on the inside). Other than the fact that the spacer's cracked...what do you think?

They look good man. I have one question though; won't the paint wear off of the inside?

Thanks...the spacers go against the frame and the grips against them. It shouldn't wear unless the spacer is removed from the painted surface all the time. Besides...the ultimate final coat will be polyurathane to seal the paint.

ok Qaz.....just let me know. I'll either need a tracing of the grips with the screw holes or the frame or the actual grips. Bomber sent me the esp grips so I had them to go by.

Oh....and the reason the U.S. Flag's stripes aren't straight is because he wanted them to appear "waving" but I couldn't get the tracing to look right...that's the best I could do for him....LOL

you should invest in some of that blue painters tape to keep your lines nice and straight.

other than that all i can say is that its a good first attempt. what happened to the spacers? the edges look very minorly wavy, but its far less noticable than the paint, unless thats my eyes playing tricks on me, because of the paint.
