I did a search and it was not conclusive as to if that is my issue.
My issue is that when I rapid fire my Spyder (Old school compact) it will shoot fine then all of the sudden act as if the tank is empty and rapid fire. I will then cock it back and it will shoot fine then do it again. I have check for anything that might be keeping air from reaching the valve, and I replaced all the springs. I can only assume that the o-rings might need to be replaced. I just wanted to make sure before I spend $9.00 on a o-ring kit for the gun. And yes I ran oil through the gun as well. I have had this gun for many years and never had this issue. Thank you for any responses! |

Dont pay 9 bucks for an oring kit - that's outrageous. Go to your local fastenal or oilfield supply and get orings from there...much cheaper.
Sounds like it could be a sear issue. Check to make sure your frame is bolted tightly against the gun, then check your sear to make sure there's a good, sharp edge on it.

The sear does appear to have some wear on it. I assume I will have to buy a whole grip, or can I find just the sear?

Just take some sand paper and sand it sharp again - be sure not to do too much though. Just enough to sharpen up the edge. Then make sure the grip frame is tight on the body.

After taking it all apart again and doing more research, it appears I used a tank o-ring on the striker, and from what I read that could be my issue as well. I did compare my sear with another spyder and it wasn't really bad. It's been a ***** to find the damn red o-ring. Oh and I found out my gun is a Spyder One. I can't believe I forgot that.
Thank you for the help.. I really do appreciate it a lot! |
