Default spyder fenix wont fire

i just bought a used spyder fenix off of ebay. i tried shooting it for the first time today, and it didnt work. the battery has been charging for at least 10 hours and the low battery indicator is off, so i dont think that is the problem. whenever i pull the trigger, the gun makes the clicking noise, but it wont fire (and yes the safety is off), and i cant get the gun to uncock. the guy who sold it to me claims the gun worked fine when he shipped it, and i mostly believe hes telling the truth. is there something else that i need to do? i have very little paintball experience so any ideas would be apreciated.

I just went through a problem with a e trigger on my old xtra one make sure the battery is new and fully charged change it batterys are easy fixes and temperamental. Two take the grip off the gun so you can see the solenoid pull the trigger if its tripping but only half way its prolly a bad capacitor. To check that look at the big black two wire cylinder and if the end is bowed out at all its blown. If its perfectly flat its something else

thanks, you were right, the capacitor was blown. i took it to a paintball store earlier today and got a new board put in it. now it shoots at least, but it uncocks every time and doesnt recock automatically, so i have to recock it each time i shoot. any idea what the problem might be now?

recocking could be a few problems
1st and the main reason, the battery
2nd not enough air pressure in the marker, to get the bolt to recock. Adjust the pressure if needed.
3rd lube/o rings, change those out and lube the marker. If you bought it form one of ebay, you dont know whens the last time it has been done.

what kind of velocity are you shooting at? and check your o-rings and make sure your valve is in the right direction.

the o-rings are all fine, the battery is fully charged, and the valve is in the right direction. i'm pretty sure that the marker doesn't need to be lubed, but ill try it anyway. as for adjusting the pressure, i have no idea how to tell what the pressure is set on now or how to adjust it, can someone tell me how to do that?

Are you running on CO2 or air? Either way, do you have a full tank?

there should be a knob on the back of the gun that allows you to adjust your velocity. Works best at around 280-285 fps, only way to check that out is at your local paintball field with a Chronograph.

ive tried using both co2 and hpa, both were full and i had the same problem with both. i knew about the knob on the back adjusting the velocity, but is that the same thing as adjusting the pressure? also, my gun has a regulator, but i dont know what that means. could someone explain to me what a regulator does?
