MR1 spiking need help

i was playing and when i was chronoing the gun my mr1 was spiking from like 250 to 360 and back and forth. Was wondering what the problem was .
I really need help

Give more info, HPA or Co2? What was the temp outside? Do you use a remote line? Tell su more about your setup so we know what you have and what you are using.

Hpa
it was somewhat warm
i live in jersey
paint was fine
mostly stock besides cp barrel
really is a brand new gun
only used twice
no remote line

new marker, are you still using the stock spring?

i would start by buying some aftermarket springs. The MR1 stock spring (in my experience) is garbage and needs to swapped out as soon as you buy the thing. I could not get mind to shoot below 300 without putting 20 inch barrel on it when i used the stock spring...bought aftermarket springs and now shoot a consistently 280 and i can just my 10 inch LAPCO assault on it.

Me tinks you blew that a little out of proportion. There's nothing at all wrong with the stock Spyder springs. They're a bit on the heavy gauge side for a reason -

Any spring with time loses resilience. If Kingman supplied springs that gave the marker exactly 280fps, in a short while the velocity would be too low to throw a ball a decent distance due to that loss of spring resilience. Then people would complain velocities weren't high enough. The reason your kit spring lowered the velocity so well is because no kits that I've ever had(and I've used them all) ever had a heavy spring that came close to the stock Spyder springs. Yes, using a kit spring is for sure going to lower the velocity but in due time even they will lose a bit of resilience -

I'm not saying spring kits are a bad thing. They are one of the more useful low cost investments you can make. If you want to lower the velocity on a new marker and you don't need to do it immediately, all you need to do is leave the marker cocked from a few days to a week. This should compress the spring a bit and lower the velocity at the same time. If you leave it cocked for too long you might then need a spring kit to up the velocity -
