Just curious, it looks like your lip hit as well pretty close to the lip ring? Did the lip ring cause any additional damage inside the lip or teeth?

Nope. Thank God. That's what the nurses said too. They couldn't believe I didn't chip anything. I guess that's a good thing considering the thousands of dollars that were put into making my teeth straight.

Yeah, apparently it got huge. I just have a hard crusty lump there now and hard skin everywhere. My eye is swollen almost closed with a broken blood vessel in the corner so it's all red. Apparently I punched myself in the eye when I ducked and tried to cover my face before I hit. That's what my gf said she saw anyways.

You're damn lucky kid. Good to see that you're still up and about. Get some elbow pads while you're at it. IMO it's easier to break an elbow than a knee.

It was a pretty bad one. They didn't want me driving for at least 24 hours, my vision didn't come back for 4 hours, and I was dizzy for at least 10 hours. I also popped a blood vessel in my eye... Reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Stewie squeezes out a fart and pops one haha.

Yeah. I look at the hill now and I don't know how I fell. I've done it so many times before. I guess it's the combination of my new bushings wearing in and getting loser and me forgetting to adjust them to make them tighter, not having rode my board in a while and the fact that I was trying to catch up to my girlfriend.

I'm def going to start wearing a helmet when I ride now though. I recommended to my gf that she does the same for any hills she bombs from now on. She hasn't even gotten on her board since the accident. Generally, riding around campus, we don't get faced with any high speed situations and most of our screw ups are easily fixed by just stepping off the board. Time for me to pull out the old BMX gear haha.

On a positive note, my skin is peeling off and there are no scars underneath. I'm going to be back at work on Monday for a late closing shift. Hopefully my eye and head are finishing up healing by then so that I don't scare away the customers. I also need my hand to heal so I can lift stuff again. I can't work without being able to lift at least 50lbs... Some of the rotors and parts we take off the shelves are pretty heafty. In fact, I might require more days off. I just can't afford to take them off unfortunately. Especially with Invasion of Normandy coming up soon.
