Patient controlled medication devices are limited, therefore, they suck. well they prevent you from ODing, which is a good thing.

So it looks like the chest tubes are coming out tomorrow. The surgeon came in today, looked at everything and said that we should be good to remove them. Hopefully I'll get to go home Tuesday or Wednesday.

Chest tube removal was postponed until tomorrow. They took the tube off suction today, suction helps keep air out of the plural space where it doesn't belong. They took me off suction to make sure that the lung stays inflated on its own. So now it looks like, chest tube removal tomorrow morning, as long as everything looks good on the xray tomorrow. Then I'll get to go home on Wednesday.

Tubes are not coming out today. When they come in this morning to check everything there was a leak. They clamped everything off and did another xray a couple hours later and there was air built up at the apex of my left lung. They said we will try the process again tomorrow.

Still leaking, no end in site. I'm thinking of changing my mailing address to the hospital.
