Default Spyder Pilot 09 bolt

Hello. I have a pilot 09 w/ eyes. My bolt is scratched and I'm looking into getting a replacement. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Scratched? How bad is it? Bolts will get scratches & wear down as they are shot.

The scratches are pretty deep - 1mm deep. They are on the bottom side of the bolt. It still works but I'm afraid in the future, it may scratch the inside of the gun.

Any suggestions on what I can replace it with?

this might be crazy but if you have no choice maybe try getting like a Victor and see if that bolt can fit in your gun. if your cheap you can always return it

Don't buy another gun to replace a part.

So I got the techt hushbolt. And the gun won't recock. I'm thinking that the o rings are too thick. And the bolt didn't come with extras. I'll update you on that.

Any suggestions on how I can increase the fps?

My spyder pilot currently has a cp reg. I'm not sure if I should lower the pressure or increase the pressure to get better fps. Could it be the spring?

My fps ranges from 190 to 230 at best right now. Not sure what else to do.

Try increasing the pressure and see what happens. Honestly, relying on o-ring seals like that in a spyder.. low tolerance chinese manufacturing does not lend well to that being a successful design.

Other companies have done similar designs in the past, never had one myself though. Don't think they ever worked amazingly.

Make sure you've got those o-rings lubed up nicely.

Thanks!! I will relube the o-rings to see if they work..

I was thinking of upgrading my spring kit.. Is there a specific brand that works best? I just really want to get my gun working to it's best capacity..

Thanks again!

The hush bolt definitely made a difference! Approximately an average of +50 in the fps. With the new spring I just got, I was shooting at an average of 340 fps with the least pressure spring! It's definitely worth it to get.
